Daimler's top priority is to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 (corona virus) and to provide a safe working environment for our employees, suppliers, and service providers. In doing so, Daimler follows the latest instructions and information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and complies with the recommendations and requirements of the authorities. We expect the same from our suppliers and service providers.
Suppliers should inform Daimler if one of the following criteria applies when contacting Daimler employees:
- there has been contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case or
- one of the supplier's employees is demonstrably ill with COVID-19 himself, or
- there is a strong suspicion of COVID-19 disease (confirmed by a doctor).
The representative should report any incident or suspicion to the corresponding Daimler representative (e.g. the responsible key account or buyer). The Daimler representative reports the incident to his or her superior. Naturally, all information will be treated as strictly confidential.
Daimler expects the suppliers to follow the recommendations and guidelines of the authorities with their employees, especially if employees were recently abroad for several days.
Access to the Daimler premises remains unchanged. However, we ask you to coordinate any attendance/personal appointments with your Daimler representative (e.g. the responsible Daimler key account or buyer) in advance.
Virtual tools should be used for the exchange with Daimler (e.g. conference call, video conference calls) whenever possible.
We thank you for your support.
